7 Week Youth/Junior Track Cycling Program Available

– Triathlon Ontario Partners with NCIM to Offer Youth & Junior Track Cycling Program at Velodrome –

– Unique opportunity to develop drafting, bike handling skills and fitness in a world class facility during winter months –

 

November 10, 2017 – Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial governing body of Multisport in Ontario, announced  as part of its expanding Provincial Development Program, a partnership the National Cycling Institute Milton (NCIM) to offer a seven week track cycling program specifically designed for youth and junior triathletes.

 

NCIM.pngTriathlon Ontario strongly believes a facility such as the Milton Velodrome offers a significant advantage for enhanced development of Ontario triathletes. The facility offers the ability to develop critical bike handling skills necessary to be successful at the national and international level during a time when most triathletes are training on stationary wind trainers.

 

Session Details

The session is called “Youth Track for Triathletes” and runs from Dec. 16th through to Jan. 27th (times vary). The course is open to athletes ages 10-19 and includes track certification. Track specific bikes are available for rent, free of charge for those that require a track bike.

 

The course is run by NCIM’s track cycling coaches and the cost is $183.75 plus HST. Spots are limited to 25 and are on a first come first serve basis.
