Announcing a Long Course for Provincial Championships Venue and a New Long Course in Provincial Series
February 2, 2015 – Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial Governing Body of Multisport in Ontario, announced today that the Subaru IRONMAN 70.3 Muskoka on July 5th, 2015 will host this year’s Long Course Triathlon Provincial Championships. This race will also be a qualifier for the 2015 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships. At this time there are no 2016 ITU World Championship qualifying spots.
Triathlon Ontario also announced today a new Long Course Provincial Series for Age Groupers. In order to participate in the Series, athletes must be Triathlon Ontario members by the final point tally, after the last event. The list of events and their associated point weights are as follows:

Rules of the Competition
There will be two age group categories, 40 years of age and over (Masters Division) and under 40 years of age (Age Group Division) as of December 31st, 2015. The female and male in each category will be recognized as Series Champion at Triathlon Ontario’s year-end awards banquet.
Points are earned by finishing within the top 20 in your age group. Points are awarded for finishing position within your age group against the entire field in your age group (not just against other members). Athletes can compete in as many or as little events as they wish but only the best three results will count toward the final total.
After each race Triathlon Ontario will publicize the standings updated standings.
Athletes must race in their proper age groups to ensure the results are ranked properly in order to be included.
