Biggest Triathlon Celebration Ever!!!!
We’ve joined forces with Personal Best, Trisport Subaru Series and MultiSport Canada Recharge With Milk Triathlon Series to put on an incredible day of clinics, guest speakers and year end award celebrations at McMaster University on December 5th.
Three award celebrations in one day capped off by our social and dinner where we will be celebrating our Provincial Champions, Cup Series and Award winners with special guest speaker Melissa Bishop, 2015 800m World Silver Medalist. The evening will be hosted by Steve Fleck, the voice of numerous triathlons and endurance events throughout the province.

Ultimate Age Grouper Swim Clinic is Back!
Join us and our partner, the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario for another premium swim clinic experience on November 21. This Part 1 of 2 clinics will Age Groupers a rare opportunity to experience the multi-million dollar Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre while working with CSIO’s Olympic level experts.
The day will begin at 1:45pm – concluding at 7pm and will include swim and video analysis (individual and group review), a nutritional seminar, two swim sessions that will feature lots of technique and open water drills, as well as a talk by Zsofi Balazs, London 2012 10km Open Water Olympian.
As part of the registration package athletes will be receiving a pair of Vorgee Missile goggles, Singles of Infinit Nutrition’s Jet Fuel and Repair, a Triathlon Ontario water bottle and silicon swim cap ($60 total value).
Additionally, there will be complimentary Jet Fuel and Repair available for the athletes throughout the day. Athletes are able to order a DVD recording of their stroke with personalized analysis by CSIO’s bio-machinist.

Youth/Junior Development Day #2 Now Open for Registration
As part of our expanded 2015-16 Provincial Development Program, Triathlon Ontario is offering Youths aged 12-15 and Juniors aged 16-19 an opportunity to train with Provincial coaches at the Nepean Sportsplex on Saturday November 28th, 2015 from 10 am – 4:30 pm.
The day will begin with an outdoor group run from 10 am to 10:45 am. The rest of the day will be swim technique focused with two in pool sessions from 11:30 am to 1 pm and then 3 pm to 4pm. Between swim sessions there will be a swim technique seminar covering triathlon focused swim processes, suggested drills and equipment, video examples as well as a recovery and nutrition seminar. Space is limited to 16, so athletes will receive sufficient one-on-one attention.
As part of the registration package athletes will be receiving a pair of Vorgee Missile goggles, Singles of Infinit Nutrition’s Jet Fuel and Repair, a Triathlon Ontario water bottle and silicon swim cap ($60 total value). Triathlon Ontario Launches Online “Introduction to Swimming for Triathlon” Con-Ed Coaching Course
We’ve opened registration for the second installment of our groundbreaking series of online continuing education for NCCP triathlon coaches. “Introduction to Swimming for Triathlon”, taught by Mike Rutledge, is the follow up course to last year’s “Exercise Physiology for Triathlon”, taught by Dr. Greg Wells.
As previously announced, Triathlon Ontario has partnered with Dr. Greg Wells to co-produce a series of online continuing education courses for those trained or certified NCCP coaches that were looking to enhance their knowledge and skill sets. The objective of an online series was to make the course easily accessible to every interested coach across the province.

Flying Monkey Joins TriOnt Team
The Flying Monkey Bike and Coffee Shop will be joining the Provincial Development Team’s Integrated Support Team (IST).
In addition to providing mechanical support, precision bike fits and saddle mapping to Team members, Flying Monkey will offer all Triathlon Ontario members 25% off bike fits and saddle mapping for both road and tri bikes and 10% off of all store items.

October Youth/Junior Development Day a Success
As part of our expanded 2015-16 Provincial Development Program, Triathlon Ontario is offering Youths aged 12-15 and Juniors aged 16-19 a number of opportunities to train with Provincial coaches and Canadian Sport Institute Ontario specialists at the Toronto Pan Am Centre and other locations.
The first day included Functional Movement Screens, run clinic followed by a 1.6km time trial, swim stroke correction clinic, and seminars on the National Junior Series and Provincial Program.
As part of the registration package athletes will received a pair of Vorgee Missile goggles, Singles of Infinit Nutrition’s Jet Fuel and Repair, a Triathlon Ontario water bottle and silicon swim cap.

LPC Florida Triathlon Camp during March Break
Loaring Personal Coaching is offering a triathlon camp in Orlando, Florida from March 5th to 12th, 2016. This week-long camp is ideal for adult triathletes of all abilities (beginner to advanced). Campers will enjoy the spacious accommodations, and neighbouring surroundings, of Emerald Island Resort, scenic rolling roads for cycling, and beautiful orange grove running trails. The National Training Center, and the 350 meter River Island Pool at Orange Lake Resort, will be home to technical swims that will feature stroke correction, above water and underwater video analysis, and open water simulations.
Camp Coaches include: LPC Triathlon Club Head Coach James Loaring, LPC Coach & Performance Hydration & Nutrition Consultant Mark Linseman, Balance Point Triathlon Club Head Coach Gabbi Whitlock, LPC Coach and 2015 Canadian Elite Champion Alexandra Coates, Exercise & Strength Coach Liz Campbell, former elite triathlete Nissim Abergel, Bike Mechanic Ryan Power, and elite triathlete and 2-time World Age Group medalist Jackson Laundry.

New Mississauga Club Offering Swim Programs
Take your swimming to the next level with Swimming Edge!
We offer a weekly pool-training program for Triathletes of all levels. We focus on teaching triathlon specific freestyle technique to make you a better swimmer.
Space is limited – only 24 spots are available in the program. The Coach:Athlete ratio is kept below 1:6 to ensure all athletes receive the coaching they deserve.

Coming Soon…Indoor Provincial Championships
Our Indoor Provincial Championships will be making a return at the end of January but in the meantime Personal Best will be hosting a fun, no pressure, indoor race at McMaster University on December 12th.
This is an ideal event for everyone, experienced or newbies, clubs, individuals and anyone looking for a fun day of triathlon. Same format, 15 min swim, 15 min on a stationary bike and 15 min on an indoor track – points for how far you can go!
