Welcome to Triathlon Ontario’s Aquathlon Provincial Championships . The Provincial Championship Aquathlon consists of a 2.5km run, 1km swim and a 2.5km run provided the water temperature is 22 C or above and therefore, wetsuit illegal. If the water temperature is below 22C, wetsuits are legal and the event switches to a 1km swim and a 5km run.
The Provincial Championship also offers the opportunity to qualify for the 2025 Aquathlon Age Group World Championships with two spots per age group per gender available.
The Aquathlon “Half” is an opportunity for athletes of all levels to try a smaller version of the event. The Half consists of a 500m swim followed by a 2.5km run.
Those competing in the Championships must be a 2024 Triathlon Ontario member. Those competing in the Half need not be an annual member but annual members receive a discount.
