Club Workout Sanction Form Sanctioning Guidelines Thank you for sanctioning with Triathlon Ontario! Please note that to sanction and insure your club workouts, your club must be sanctioned for the upcoming year. You are welcome to complete this form at any time, however club activities will only be approved once club sanctioning is complete. Only club workouts can be sanctioned using this form. Clinics, camps, and races have additional fees and requirements. You can sanction a camp or clinic here. All sanctioned club workouts must meet the Triathlon Ontario requirements listed below. Workout & Event Guidelines Entering Coaches and Workouts There are many clubs doing a wide variety of workouts, so this form has intentionally been left as general as possible. The information we need to sanction a workout is the coach, type, date, time, location, and distance. List all of the coaches who will be running the sanctioned workouts. All coaches must be Triathlon Ontario Qualified. Note that you can simply list all your qualified coaches; it is not necessary to specify which coach will be at each workout. Please provide a specific street address, which in the case of long bikes or runs can be the starting address. We don't need your specific route. We also need times and dates, but these can be both recurring and general - there's no need to describe each workout exactly. To avoid having to enter every individual workout, please enter recurring workouts as in the following examples. You can enter as many coaches and workouts as you need to by clicking on the plus sign (+) on the right. Coaches listed on this form who are not currently qualified will be contacted by Triathlon Ontario and given a period of time in which to complete their qualification. Workouts without a Triathlon Ontario Qualified coach are unsanctioned and uninsured. Coaches*Enter your list of Triathlon Ontario Qualified Coaches. Agree Notes Notes Coaches who are NCCP Trained or higher in another relevant sport may run club workouts when the workout is primarily in the sport in which they are trained and a club coach trained in triathlon is present and in charge. All Triathlon Ontario members are insured for all sanctioned workouts, regardless of club membership. Clubs are welcome to open their workouts to all members, but are free to close, charge a fee, or otherwise restrict their workouts. To encourage new athletes to try club workouts, any athlete will be covered for one workout, provided they agree to and sign the TO Athlete Agreement and Waiver. Subsequent workouts require membership or a one-day fee. One-day fees may be collected by the club and reported to TO after the workout. As all Triathlon Ontario members complete an online Athlete Agreement and Waiver of Liability when signing up on CCN, it is not necessary for clubs to collect paper waivers from current Triathlon Ontario members. Clubs must still ensure that all non-members at a workout do complete and sign a waiver. On submission of this form, you'll receive a confirmation email with the information you've submitted.
