Improve Your Swim and Draft Legal Cycling Technique With Our Age Group Swim/Bike Clinic

– Opportunity to work with Olympic level coach & World Champion cyclist –

April 13, 2017 – Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial Governing Body of Multisport in Ontario, has once again partnered with the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) to offer a new, world class swim and bike clinic specifically designed for Age Groupers on May 13th.

This clinic offers the rare opportunity to experience the multi-million dollar Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre while working with a CSIO Olympic level swim coach and a former World Champion road cyclist.
There are now three draft legal racing opportunities in Ontario for Age Groupers, Ottawa International Triathlon (Nationals), Toronto Triathlon Festival, & Draft Legal Provincial Championships. Triathlon Ontario is beginning to offer Age Groupers opportunities to develop their drafting skills sets to they can participate and enjoy this exciting style of racing.

The day will include a classroom discussion on draft legal cycling, tips and training strategies followed by a two hour pool session, working on stroke technique and training, and then a fully supported 40-60km group road ride led by Bruce Bird, 2014 World Champion road cyclist.

As both a safety precaution and to be consistent with Age Group draft legal equipment rules, only road bikes will be permitted. No “tri bikes” or “TT bikes” allowed. If an athlete has aero bars on a road bike they must be removed prior to departing for the group ride.

As part of the registration package athletes will receive complimentary Infinit Nutrition Jet Fuel throughout the day, a Triathlon Ontario silicon swim cap and water bottle.
