Triathlon Ontario Announces Canada Summer Games Team
June 26, 2017 – Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial Governing Body of Multisport in Ontario, announced its team and alternate selections to represent Ontario at this year’s Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg July 28-August 6th. The Canada Summer Games consist of five races for junior athletes (16-19), an individual male and female sprint race, a four-person mixed relay (recently added to the Olympics) and a female and male relay – relays are super sprint distances.

Triathlon Ontario’s Selection Committee primary objective was to built a team that could compete for as many podiums as possible based on its talent pool versus the other provinces. The Selection Committee used a combination of testing and performance results to determine which athletes could best position Ontario to succeed in its strategic objectives.
